During the 2nd week of August, we closed the office so I could do a 50 mile hike. The hike took 5 days and it turned out to be 52 miles total. We started at Timberline Lodge at Mt. Hood and finished at Eagle Creek near the Columbia River. We hiked mostly along the Pacific Crest Trail. There were many breath-taking views. Here are some photos from the trek! I love hiking! It is great exercise, you see views and places only accessible by foot, and you can “detach” from the electronic world.
